Artist Judy Chartrand curated by top art collector Bob Rennie

“Judy is an artist who is under the radar, and she deserves to have her voice heard. Her work offers a valid discussion on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. We have to solve these problems, we have a responsibility, and I think Judy's work moves that along.”

In collaboration with the Globe and Mail, Wondereur invited real estate mogul and top art collector Bob Rennie to share the work of an artist that deeply touches him. Known as the founder of Vancouver's largest real estate marketing firm, Bob is also regarded as one of the world's top art collectors. A trip to San Francisco in 1974 sparked his love for collecting when he purchased a Norman Rockwell print. Since then, he's amassed more than 1,500 works - one of the largest contemporary art collections in North America. His private collection is on display three times a year at the historic Wing Sang building in Vancouver, as well as on loan to notable museums, such as the Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou and the Guggenheim. In addition to sitting on the North American Acquisition Committee for the Tate Modern, Bob recently joined the Board of Directors at the Art Institute of Chicago.
