“MY GRANDMOTHER is a seamstress, and I use her leftover scraps of fabric in my artworks. Sometimes the fabric comes from neighbours and other family members. My work is particularly economical, because it starts from recycled, or even I should say ‘obsolete’ materials, that are literally of no use anymore. The wood I find has already been used up in every possible way, and I use it again through the language of art.”
