Artist Nadia Myre curated by preeminent North-American writer Joseph Boyden

“I totally admire Nadia, and I love her work. She tears apart the stereotypes and clichés that people associate with native art then stitches them back together in a spellbinding way.”
PREEMINENT NORTH-AMERICAN WRITER • GILLER PRIZE WINNER • CANADA READS WINNER
In collaboration with the Globe and Mail, Wondereur invited award-winning novelist Joseph Boyden to share the work of an artist he admires. A preeminent Canadian writer based in New Orleans, Joseph Boyden is exploring the history of First Nations in an attempt to reconcile communities that often misunderstand each other. The first three volumes of his “cosmology of the Bird family,” Three Day Road, Through Black Spruce (Scotiabank Giller Prize winner, 2008), and The Orenda (Canada Reads winner, 2014) became an integral part of the national conversation about reconciliation.
