Joshua Simon is one of Israel's most politically vocal art figures. His provocative exhibitions and achievements in showcasing Israeli artists and their work internationally garnered him the coveted role of executive director and chief curator of the Bat Yam Museum for Contemporary Art. In 2007, Joshua curated Israel's first art biennial, Herzilya Biennial, where he presented over 70 artists. He has curated over 30 exhibitions in local and international galleries in New York, London, and Vienna, and has worked with high-profile artists such as Anri Sala and Sigalit Landau. Joshua is the co-editor of Israel's Maayan and New & Bad Art magazines.
