Emelie Chhangur is the assistant director and curator at the Art Gallery of York University. In the last 10 years, Emelie has developed an experimental practice, collaborating with artists and finding performative possibilities in exhibitions. Prior to the AGYU, Emelie was the exhibitions coordinator at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. As an accomplished artist, completing art residencies in Brazil, Columbia and Japan, Emelie has a deep interest in how contemporary art practices engage people outside of the arts.
