“My friends and I purchased this old boat from 1967 called La fiancée du pirate. There’s a sense of freedom when you’re at sea, but also this contact with the underwater world.”

“I can spend hours watching the fishermen. Whenever I do that, I go back to the studio with my head full of images. It’s like fishermen are everywhere around me.”

“I’m constantly looking at botanical, anatomy books, watching old movies, reading stories from ancient Macedonian or Indian mythologies – stories of centaurs and half-human characters who turn into monkeys and fly.”
